LATEST FROM KNOX BASKETBALL
Grand Final Day Sat 26th June. We are proceeding as planned with our Grand Finals this weekend being played across SBC and Boronia stadium (as per the current online fixture). This will allow for 2 spectators per player, which is an important part for both players and families alike.
- Do not turn up in excess of 15 minutes prior to your game time as you will not be granted access otherwise, due to density cap.
- Once game is finished please proceed to the designated Presentation area (Courts 4/5/6 at Boronia and Court 1/2/3 at SBC).
- QR code check-in is mandatory and MUST be shown upon entry.
- Masks mandatory for all patrons over 12 years of age at all times indoors. Players, coaches and referees are exempt while on court participating in an exertive role, however must be worn while not playing and on entry and exit of the stadium.
With the time constraints placed on us to finish games, and start the next timeslot without going over our density cap, presentations will take place in the opposite 3 court pods (Courts 4/5/6 at Boronia and Court 1/2/3 at SBC). Please make your way to this designated area at the completion of your game for Grand Final Presentations.
As with presentations, KBI are unable to provide team photos like normal for Grand Final teams. We simply cannot have teams remaining indoors whilst the next game is commencing as this will cause our density cap to be exceeded. However, KBI is offering free team photos to be taken immediately at the conclusion of presentations in the designated presentation area. KBI will be provided with the digital copies of the photos, which will then be distributed to Clubs/Teams.
We’ve had some occurrences of late where KBI staff have been questioned about the current rules in place. It’s important to know that KBI is adhering to the current restrictions imposed by the Victoria State Government to ensure we return to training and competition in a safe way whilst ensuring we are following the Government rules in place. We will not tolerate abuse of staff in any form.
Finally, we’d just like to thank all Clubs for the co-operation whilst we’ve had to make numerous changes on the fly. It’s been extremely important that we finish of the Grand Finals for the Summer Season for everyone involved. Despite all the interruptions, we’re finally able to do that. Congratulations to everyone involved for their work on getting through this season, and we look forward to starting our Winter 2021 Season on the 10thof July.
